RH Hotels has collaborated with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, favouring education and social integration

This project aims to ensure that the children belonging to the most disadvantaged communities of Anantapur, affected by intellectual disabilities, receive a quality primary education, favouring their social integration and equal opportunities in the future.

In the educational center of Kadiri, the 76 boys and girls, have carried out activities ranging from physiotherapy, speech therapy or development for activities of daily living to meetings and training with parents to teach them to give them the correct attention and encouragement.

Children stay at the center for 3 weeks every month. The first week is spent with their parents. This system improves the responsibility of parents and all family members, promoting empathy for their children. It is an important part of rehabilitation based on integration in the family and the community. Parents receive instructions from the center's educators and relative training to know how to manage activities of daily living with their children.
In the center, life begins at 6 o'clock and ends at 8 o'clock. The academic training has been based on learning through the game, enhancing the skills that stand out in each child. Within the educational program, communication skills have been worked with speech therapy and motor skills classes with physiotherapy and physical education classes.

RH Hotels committed to the women of rural India

After finishing the construction project for the water structure to make better use of rain water in the Uravakonda region, RH Hotels has once again collaborated with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation to prepare women in rural India. For this, an agreement has been made in which RH Hotels is committed to forming 50 women to be health workers in the community.

The main goal with this project is to strengthen the rural health network of Anddhra Pradesh, that has 16 rural clinics and 1.351 health workers. This way, basic health attention is offered to rural communities that live far away from health centers.

It is a clear commitment of the RH Hotels Group, the continued performance of activities in favor of sustainable tourism, so that our actions do not fall only on purely business benefits. Our objective of social and environmental sustainability goes beyond specific activities, with a track record that redounds to the good of the destinations where we operate, the satisfaction of tourists and the improvement of the situation of Valencian tourism in general. We work on aspects related to innovation, contribution to sustainable development, initiatives in favor of the Valencian economy and employment, improvement of the business image and of destinations, taking into consideration the guidelines of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism.

In environmental matters, the great commitment of the RH Hotels Group is the ISO 14064: 2012 Certification, Carbon Footprint in organizations. It has already been implemented in 8 hotels of the hotel group, covering most of our emissions, and it will continue with the rest of our establishments and as well as those that are joining the group.

Responsible Tourist’s Decalogue

At RH Hoteles, we understand tourism not only as a way to rest, but also as a means to enrich our perspective on the world, connect with other cultures, and actively contribute to the well-being of the destinations we visit.

Traveling responsibly is a way of giving back to the environment and local communities part of what they offer us. For this reason, we have joined the Comunitat Valenciana initiative by promoting the Responsible Tourist’s Decalogue: a set of best practices that invite reflection on the impact of our decisions as travelers.

This decalogue brings together ten key principles that encourage us to enjoy our journey with a respectful, inclusive, and committed attitude. From learning about and valuing local culture to supporting local trade, reducing resource consumption, or caring for natural and historical heritage—every gesture counts.

We want our guests to enjoy authentic, sustainable, and enriching experiences, leaving a positive footprint behind as they pass through our destinations. Because the tourism of the future is built on respect, awareness, and collaboration.

The Pledge - RH Victoria & Spa and its commitment to food waste

At RH Hoteles, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency as we move towards a more responsible tourism model. Throughout 2024, we implemented specific actions to reduce food waste in our kitchens and dining rooms, aligning with our values of environmental respect, social responsibility, and continuous improvement.

Our goal has been clear: to minimize waste, optimize processes, and promote environmental awareness among both our team and our guests. The project, developed at the RH Royal and RH Victoria hotels, has yielded significant environmental, economic, and social results.

1. With our KITCHEN AND FRONT-OF-HOUSE TEAMS:

Thanks to their involvement, training, and rigorous monitoring, food waste was reduced by 33%, with an average decrease of 43 kg per day. New practices were implemented in the reception, storage, preparation, and service of food, such as supplier reviews, the use of individual trays, temperature control, and more precise menu planning.

2. With our GUESTS:

Although the communication campaign has not yet been fully deployed, an improvement in consumption behavior has already been observed thanks to adjusted portions, more descriptive dish labeling, and attractive single-portion presentations. Future plans include direct awareness actions to consolidate these advancements.

3. With the COMPANY:

The project's benefits are also reflected financially, with a Return on Investment (ROI) of 670.82% in just 6 months. This stems from a reduction of 17,701 kg of wasted food and over 44,000 kg of avoided CO₂, equivalent to more than 35,000 meals saved.

4. With the ENVIRONMENT:

This project has demonstrated that it is possible to reduce environmental impact without compromising service quality. This coordinated effort has contributed to a more sustainable hospitality industry, reducing resource consumption and the carbon footprint of our establishments.
